Community education admin teams now have the option to assign unique passcodes to course and early childhood family education (ECFE) registration within Arux. These passcodes are used to gate specific courses and make them accessible only to the code, allowing families to locate the specific course and sign up with the comfort that their spot will be reserved. There are a few examples throughout community education programming where districts may want to gate registering for courses:

  • Courses that are invite-only

  • A prerequisite is required for the course I.E., a classroom portion of driver’s education is required before behind-the-wheel

  • Private lessons

  • Presale options for courses for loyal customers

  • Teams - registrants would like to sign up to play for a specific team and coach

In such instances, admin staff can generate custom passcodes and the course registration link to distribute to course instructors or coaches.

Admin staff can determine if a course section registration requires a passcode, generate a custom passcode, and create text to display for the user when registering.

From the user’s standpoint, Arux will ask for the required passcode once they select Enroll Now.

Within the Admin side, staff do not need the code to add community members to the course.

Adding greater flexibility to the types of programming you can offer

By adding unique passcode options to course registration, Arux provides district and community education programs with unique programming for their communities. Districts now have greater flexibility to offer tiered, structured, and more private programming throughout their community if they choose.
